This part is a semi-synthetic shuttle vector plasmid backbone, pSB1A8YL, which is a low copy plasmid that replicates in both E. coli and Yarrowia lipolytica. It encodes an insertion cassette consisting of the prefix10 and suffix10 sequences, ampicillin resistance for selection in E. coli and an URA3 marker for counter selection in Y. lipolytica.
